The treatment
My style is Masunaga shiatsu with the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine, using acupuncture points to help relieve symptoms. The treatment covers the whole body, focusing on the receiver’s needs and treating the person as a whole; Mind, Body, emotions and spirit. The experience provides complete relaxation, restoring a feeling of wholeness.
The treatment is practiced on a futon on the ground and the receiver wears loose clothing.
Through observation, touch, listening and questioning, the diagnosis is made. The treatment is based upon the presenting imbalances of the meridians and existing symptoms. Gentle pressure of the palms, fingers, elbow and knees are applied to the meridians. Stretches, acupuncture points and craniosacral technique are used to assist in the process of rebalancing the body and mind and to encourage Ki to flow.
