Experience a week of yoga within the grounds of hotel Peli and the rustic bay area of Kissamos, on the outskirts of Kastelli, West Crete.
After each morning class we will have a brunch overlooking the sea and a quiet beach called ‘Mavros Molos’. In the afternoon we will have time to sunbathe, visit the local town, swim in the hotel pool/sea or be taken on a guided walk with our hosts David or Juliet. Late afternoon class will then be followed by small group/ whole group eating out at the local tavernas’.
One evening meal in the week will be hosted by West Crete Holiday {David & Juliet}.
Massage and treatments are available for an added charge.
The yoga

''My yoga class inspires towards the practise style of Iyengar yoga; a practise where postures are held and a focus is given to help align the body & mind in an asana. The week will unfold a series of related postures to help strengthen the systems of the body and increase mental and physical awareness. My focus is for you to have a greater understanding of the postures and for you to experience the affect each asana has on you.''
This inquisition of yoga not only empowers the individual but provides a basis for home practise.
Each active morning class will vary according to the theme chosen from Standing postures, Back arches or Twists.
The evening classes will be directed towards a quieter practise, to promote a deeper feeling of relaxation & recuperation. This may include Inversions, Forwards Bends and Pranayama {Breathing sequences}.
