26th July- 2nd August 2008

£525.00
Deepen your practice & relaxation with a week of yoga at les Passeroses;
A rural retreat in the heart of Charente, France

Set in a peaceful valley of Charente, surrounded by sunflower fields, our yoga week will be held in a restored farmhouse owned by our friendly hosts Alex and Adrian. Renowned for their delicious vegetarian cooking they will be providing us with two meals a day.
Two yoga classes a day will be held in the barn, which has solid oak floors and open views of the surrounding countryside.
The week will have a therapeutic focus starting with meditation and pranayama in the morning, then moving into a series of postures to help strengthen the systems of the body, increasing mental and physical well-being. I like to pay attention to the alignment of the body within the posture and bring awareness to how we use the breath.
 Practicing yoga every day is a deeply rewarding experience and will help you to develop and deepen your asana practice.

A typical day:

Morning Practice: Meditation and breathing,
Light snack
Morning practice: A dynamic yoga asana class.
Brunch
Afternoon free time: Relaxation, exploring, talking, sleeping, swimming, walking.
Afternoon practice: Yoga asana with the focus of restorative postures
Dinner

{A request of no consumption of alcohol during the week is preferred, as this may impede the process of purification. Mid week we will go out for dinner, where one may consume alcohol if they wish}
